Many people can write an article. If, however, you want to provide more than just information - like getting targeted traffic - then you will need to add some other features.

A marketing article needs to be able to get people's attention. I mentioned this in a previous article. Your title must be able to stand out from a whole lot of other articles.

This means your title will need to do more than just state a fact, like "Article Marketing Works." While that certainly is true, you need to know that it will be seen with many other titles on the same subject. In order for your marketing article to get attention instantly, your title will need to do two things:

• Grab attention.
• Promise to fulfill a need.

So, while the title "Article Marketing Works" does give a promise, you will get better results if you make the title a little more interesting and dynamic. Realize that people that are looking for article marketing information are looking for results - not just good information. Here is a title that will basically say the same thing but will also get more clicks - Article Marketing Can Work for You; or, 4 Reasons You Need Article Marketing Now.

Articles can be powerful marketing tools to increase web traffic. Take a little more time to tweak your titles and track results. Compare your titles to those that get a lot of traffic at places like EzineArticles and observe the differences. Then - experiment and see what works best - and what does not work at all.
